Wot’s All This Then?

violet_carson-290x400

Corrie Canuck is a blog dedicated to the Coronation Street viewing experience from a Canadian perspective. We offer up (mostly) daily episode recaps, show histories, and various tributes to all things British.

Daily episodes of Coronation Street air weeknights on CBC, as well as in convenient omnibus form on Sunday mornings.

The episodes airing in Canada are approximately 6 months behind the current episodes which air on ITV in the United Kingdom. For that reason, we urge everyone to avoid discussing spoilers. While the internet makes it very easy to read ahead, many of our Canadian-based readers prefer to follow the stories as they unfold on the CBC. For its part, since September 2011, CBC has been airing back to back episodes of the show in an effort to catch up to the current storylines.

So come on in, have a seat, and treat yourself to a nice cup of tea and a biscuit and leave a comment or two. Cheers!

    Michelle’s Tattoo ——————————————————————————
Does anyone know what that tattoo is, on Michelle’s left (I believe) arm? I am sure it is real, as she has had it showing in some tabloid/celebrity photographs.

    Thanks for your help!

Not sure how to contact you, but I thought you’d all like to know about something! Let me know if you want pics!

The stars of Coronation Street are helping PETA’s campaign to stop the hunting of bears for their fur, which is used in the Queen’s Guards’ ceremonial caps. Sally, Cilla, Fiz, Maria, Liam, Kevin and more have posed wearing fake-bearskin caps with PETA’s “No Fur” logo and holding signs reading, “Save the Bears”.

See the photos and read more here http://www.unbearablecruelty.com/corrie_stars.asp?c=pukubcorrie

Of course we’d love it if you could link to the feature :)

    Thanks!

Wow. I guess there’s a reason why coronation street is the longest running soap in history… it is isn’t it?

I am delighted. Ena Sharples – those were the days. I don’t watch it any more. I am just amazed you have this blog dedicated to the program (which I still respect) from England. Internet searches are an amazing thing. I’m in Australia (ABC, not BBC!). Keep up the good work, long live ITV.

Hi everyone! I was watching Corrie Crazy awhile ago, and am interested in creating a Ping gathering in the Toronto area. Its for a lovely pub around Eglinton and Mount Pleasant to be specific. Does anyone have some information on what games I should include, and perhaps some ways of contacting people to come? =^.^= Thanks!

Wow…I love the show even more now. I always hated the idea of real bearskins still being used. I vote for faux fur any day! Way to go PETA and Corrie stars!! ♥♥♥
