Kevin and Sally are angry, and you know what, I don’t blame them. The show opened with the two of them arriving at the Peacocks neither looking too pleased. Kevin and Sally confronted Claire about her “slum” remarks concerning their house. Ashley was annoyed by his wife’s behaviour and Claire was embarrassed. So she should be. Sally is so upset by the episode that she declares the deal off. I don’t think she is posturing here. Kevin and Sally leave. Claire wonders if Sally means it. Ashley is more concerned that they have lost two good friends.
Both couples retire to their corners with the men charged to talk some sense into their wives. Ashley demands that Claire apologize. Kevin tells Sally that she is cutting off her nose to spite her face. He also makes the point that I’m sure we were all thinking, Sally seems to be making decisions without consulting with Kevin.
A bit later Kevin and Ashley meet in the street and plot to get everyone together in the pub to sort it out. I guess the Newton and Riley will act as the mediator. Yes, finally someone recognizes the calming influence of beer.
They all meet in the pub and the men hope to sort it all out. Claire has made a decision. They needed some common courtesy a middle man to sort it all out. All of these shenanigans happened because Sally is a pretentious cow and Claire is a small minded busy body they didn’t involve a professional estate agent. So, Claire’s rather forceful suggestion was actually smart and she didn’t mean to stick Sally in it at all.
Over at the Old Rectory Molly is very worried about Paul’s plans to do a runner from the law. It seems that Paul believes that the law’s arms aren’t long enough to reach Australia. Molly tries to enlist Tyrone’s help in the matter, but he’s not all that interested in Paul doing the right thing. He’d rather that Paul just leave, on a jet plane or in a paddy wagon.
Molly finally gets through and she tells Jack who offers Paul 10,000 quid to go or 30,000 quid to go to jail. Jack lays the money on the table and leaves to let Paul make his own decision.
While Jack waits for Paul in the Rovers Paul gets into Lloyd’s taxi to the airport a regular Coronation street exit. If only Leanne was with him.

Liz is getting her photos re-touched by Amy. That kid’s gotta be useful somehow. She has had a massive picture made of her wedding photo and it looks ridiculous. She has re-made Vernon to look like a slimmer Wayne Newton in a Crest commercial. She’s going to hang it over the mantle. She is not doing this out of guilt.
