Last night, as Mel Morton prepares for her first official day as a copper, Jerry tells her, in a bad American accent, “Hey, let’s be careful out there.” Mel looks at him blankly, not getting the reference.
The line belonged to Sgt. Esterhaus, a character from the hit 1980’s police drama, Hill Street Blues. It was what he said to the staff after each morning’s roll call.
does that mean I’m old because I knew exactly where he got it from!
royea, I’m old too I used to LOVE that show!
Not that mourning the combination loss of Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson didn’t already make us feel old…
Thanks John….That was bugging me! I knew I knew it but I’m so old I couldn’t remember.
And of course it’s up on YouTube:

Where is everyone?
I’m here….
Me too! Really hoping for some updates, especially now since a certain couple got back together, and I need somewhere to VENT!
I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Run, Fizz, run!!!!
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe everyone is on vacation. I need my Corrie Canuck fix!
I miss everyone too
Silly, silly Fizz!
Oh, that Theresa! I hope she gets punished – big time!
Hi Corrie fans. I just found you here. I’m excited to connect with Canadian Corrie fans! I’m from Detroit and my bf got me into the show about three years ago.
I’m worried about Mel! I have this feeling something bad is going to happen to her–maybe because of what Theresa did.
Also, even though I love Darryl and Amber, isn’t she a little too smart for him?
And I’m worried about Kevin’s garage. (How scary is Tony?)
