It’s been bothering me for a week now just where I’ve seen John Stape’s bright red, never healing scratches before.
Turns out he borrowed them from James T. Kirk after a transporter accident split the good captain into two separate personalities: one good, one evil. The evil Kirk tried it on with Yeoman Rand and got his face all scratched up for his troubles:
I guess the studio wasn’t using them anymore so Corrie got to use them. Hey, you gotta cut corners where you can in these tough times.

John…you are so right! I remember that! Too funny, and thanks for the memories
Excellent find John! Those scratches are a perfect match.
I think John and Galen Weston Jr. are actually twin brothers and that Joe (Tina’s dad) is there older brother.
Is anyone else disappointed in Fizz’s behaviour lately? Selfishly going on holidays when one of her best friends lost her husband(as well as him being her former nice boss). To me it is totally out of character for one of my favourite cast members.
I really wanted Rosie to escape from John’s Grandma’s house what the hell is he thinking?
I know. I couldn’t believe it either.
Gayle, I was surprised about the whole Fizz let’s-not-stay-for-the-funeral attitude.
Of course, I was also really surprised Tyrone could actually sell a shirt!
As out of character as all this stuff is, I have to assume these plot lines were a ratings bonanza, and that many cast members were nominated for soap acting awards.
Raise your hands: who would agree to travel to France with Blanche and others like her — even if it was FREE! Nope, I’d be home eating baked potatoes with Ken.
Didn’t Blanche pull a stunt like that a few years ago to get Dierdre to go to Lourdes with her? The whole thing seems familiar.
Maria kind of told Fizz to seize the moment because you never know what could happen and maybe Fizz has a premonition that this fling with John isn’t going to last long. I think John could be related to the Westons! There is a resemblance. He must be the black sheep of the family.
Is Galen Weston that President’s Choice Dudu with the funky sweaters?
I meant Dude but Dudu is funniers.
I always think of this every time I hear about Galen Weston:
OMG, that is the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. GW commercials are the best!
Bwahahaha! You owe me a new keyboard! (Note to self: don’t drink coffee while reading Corrie Canuck)
I think Blanche talked Deirdre into going to Poland with her when she got her new hip.
And the scratches are way too close together. You can’t get a good grip on someone’s cheek when your fingers are “clawed” that close together! you need your fingers wider for maximum scrapeage!
Sounds like you speak from X perience. lol
I was thinking the same thing as you Bea!
I’m saying nowt! 😉
