Aaannnnd that’s about as close as we got to the Coronation Street stars. Almost tripped over Debbie Travis, though.

See you next year!

What did you think of the show? And that is really close by Halifax standards.

In Halifax, in previous years under different organizers, it was a very relaxed event. Audience members wrote down questions, an organizer asked the Corrie star the questions, and it was very laid-back and fun.

This year, it was a very slick production, different much larger venue, and it was though we were watching a show, not hanging out with the starts as in previous years. It was not quite as fun, or as informative about current plot events on the show. A host asked what seemed to be rehearsed questions.

However, Katherine and Antony were charming, vivacious and obviously close friends.

We didn’t spend much time at the show, to be honest. We arrived late and saw a sign on the ticket booth that the autograph session was sold out (I had no idea they sold tickets to these things). We got our 99’s, some Hobnobs, and left. It hasn’t really changed that much since we started. I think this will be the last time we go to the show, although we said that last year. If we skip the show, we can concentrate on drinking with the fellow Corrie Canucksters more.

I would have liked to have met Antony and Katherine but I’m just too lazy to stand in line.

Thanks, John. In Halifax, this is a single event, so it was $40 to $55 just to see the stars. No exhibitions or anything as it is at the Toronto venue.
Last year, it was about $30, and as it had been for years, was run by a non-profit who always used the money raised simply to pay for expenses for the stars. We would always nab the actors on their way to the British show.
I have to say after years of attending this kind of event, we’re debating going back too.

That was about as close as we got too! I did get some really delicious busicuts at the show.

Wondering about the pub night, four of us showed up at the Banknote and they had no idea what we were talking about? We didn’t see anything that looked like a Corrie Groupie so we left?
    Cheers all!
