Blanche’s Final Scene

I forgot to post this last week but Maggie Jones’ last scene as Blanche Hunt has aired in Canada. Shortly after her scenes were filmed, she fell ill and soon passed away.

If you’d like to skip ahead to 6:57 in the video, you’ll hear her last ever line which was, appropriately enough, “Alleluia”.

She was one of a kind.

Loved the scene a few episodes back where she revealed Peter and Leanne’s “past sins” to George and let on Deirdre was their maid. She will be missed in a big way, Norris has been good lately but he can’t carry her boots.

Thank you, John. What a loss she is, I would have loved to see her handle the Tony/Maria/Carla/Liam murder with relish. Norris may become the spiteful ‘old girl’ of the street, and I rather like Theresa for that role too. She has spiteful down to an art.
