The Coronation Street/EastEnders Mashup

This past Friday in the U.K. was the annual Children in Need event which features special programming to raise funds for children’s charities. This year, the big event was the crossover between Coronation Street and EastEnders.

It’s a lot of fun, even though I’ve maybe seen EastEnders twice in my life so I didn’t get all the references or know who anyone was, really.

Still, there are a lot of funny bits like our Jason struggling to make himself understood in London and Christian’s reaction to Newton and Ridley’s best bitter.

I will warn, however, that there are a few spoilers in the video. Chances are, you may have already read about them but if you to remain 100% spoiler-free, then don’t watch the video.

That was fun, thanks. Anyone know if that was Michelle (Kym Marsh?) singing for real or a trick lip-sync or auto tune? She actually sounded very good!

Wow, Thank you so much, John, for posting that. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I watched EE for many years until we lost it from out local public TV station here in the Seattle area. The whole idea of the cultural exchange between Albert Square and Weatherfield cracked me up. The ending was the best.
Liz related to a Slater – too perfect.

Very funny, though I’ve only seen East enders a couple of times.

Now we know Eileen is still alive though I didn’t like her comment about the bridge being the death of her.

LOL at Gail comparing murderous husbands and outdoing the other woman.

I don’t know who Christian is, but WOW! I don’t know anything about East Enders, but it was easy to follow along. Liz looked decidedly even Lizz-er, if that is possible.
