A note about spoilers…

As of tonight’s episode, the Canadian broadcasts of Coronation Street are exactly six months behind. It’s been years since we’ve been that close to the original UK broadcasts and it may be tempting to discuss current stories as we’re getting that much closer to seeing them here.

However, many of our readers prefer not to be spoiled and are happy to watch the stories unfold as they are broadcast on CBC. If a major plot point is revealed in the comments section, we will go in and delete that comment. I should point out that these spoilers are rare and the vast majority of our readers refrain from them because you’re all lovely. It’s just every so often, we need to reinforce the rules.

On occasion there will be exceptions, such as the death of a cast member but in general, we don’t discuss things that will happen six months from now.

I’ve gone back in time, actually. After forcing my kids to clean their fit-to-be-condemned bedrooms today, one of them unearthed my last year’s birthday present: the book “Fifty Years of Coronation Street”!

But again, John, thank you for all the work you do contributing to and helping to maintain the site.

Thanks for the reminder John. Personally, I hate spoilers and love Corrie Canuck. Thanks for the great work.

Wonderful reminder, thank you. Therefore I will refrain from posting about Kirk and Sylvia’s torrid affair…oops!
Seriously, I am thrilled we are catching up and really prefer not to hear any spoilers. What a great group!

HA! That might have provided more entertainment than we’ve seen in months.
I also am very appreciative of our John’s steadfastness and CBC allowing us to catch up.

      Even that wouldn’t surprise me!

And there are barely any honest people left on Corrie anymore. Even Sophie who is such a good Christian is a thief.

  4. Robin says:

Thanks! I usually hate finding out spoilers!

Darn, was going to mention John Stape changed his appearance at a shady plastic surgeon friend and has fled to Canada and is teaching at a private school. 🙂

Thank you so much for all your work you put in this wonderful site. I love reading all the comments and very much appreciate that there are not spoilers. Does anyone know how close we will be to the original episodes once we do catch up?

I try not to do spoilers on the Bluenose Blog either, or if i do, it’s noted in the header or it’s through a link to another site. I, too, make an exception for cast members that die and i did as well for the tram crash.
