Bits n’ Bobs for the Weekend

I’m off to New Brunswick for the Thanksgiving weekend so I won’t have time to update this week but I did want to pass along a couple of notes before I left.

Andy Whyment and Alan Halsall (aka Kirk and Tyrone) will be visiting Canada next month with stops in Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. Check the official Facebook page for more details.

David Miliband, the Aardman Animation character who would like to succeed David Cameron as Britain’s prime minister, visited the set of Coronation Street this week. The Daily Mail has the details. You also get to see Karl not looking like a layabout on Sunita’s couch.

Speaking of the Daily Mail, it really is an awful, awful paper. But it has decent Corrie coverage so I read it. Now that we’re two weeks behind, spoilers aren’t such a big deal to me but I’ll continue to keep them off the blog here.

And with that, I’ll leave you with “The Daily Mail Song:”

It is certainly about time that Tyrone realized the danger baby Ruby could be in with her wacko mother. Don’t British PDs do psyc testing? Her rage is so minimally under control that I can’t imagine the MMPI or something of that ilk wouldn’t disqualify her.
Nice to see Tyrone and Fiz interacting – wouldn’t mind seeing the two of them together. Ryan and Tracy – OTT. I think Michele should just ban her from the apartment – Ryan’s not paying rent; he’s got no claim on the space. Maria’s little flat must be like the TARDIS – much bigger on the inside.
