Farewell Bill Tarmey

Some terribly sad news from the U.K. this morning. Bill Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth for three decades has passed away at age 71.

Here are some of the reactions of his castmates:

And, of course, the always delightful Fat Brenda:

Very sad news. Jack was one of my favourite characters on the Street and Bill Tarmey seemed a lovely man.

Very sad news. I wish he could have enjoyed his retirement more, but in a funny way I am glad it happened in Tenerife. Hope he went while having a good time, soaking up the sun, a glass of ale in his hand, surrounded by the people he loved most. Here are some tributes from co-stars. Nigel Pivaro’s (rTerry)is lovely. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-20271545
